Prague is said to be the city lying right in the heart of Europe. The Czech capital has many nicknames; “Mother of Cities”, “City of a Hundred Spires” or “Golden City”. Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites, making the city one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. Come and explore this breathtaking magical city with us.
Day 1 Arrival to Prague
Arrival at the city of Prague where you will be met by an English speaking driver at the airport, to be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2 City tour (B)
After breakfast you will set off for a city tour (private service). Prague is a fairy-tale town of magical beauty and it difficult to admire it fully in just one day. But you will get the chance to see the best by car and on foot. You will start at the picturesque Prague Castle with its truly magnificent St Vitus’s Cathedral or the tiny fairy-tale like Golden Lane. The next stop is at the Lesser Town on the slopes bellow the Prague castle and it is the part least affected by recent history. The dominant of the Lesser Town Square is St. Nicholas Church. Then you cross via the Prague's most familiar monument Charles Bridge the Vltava river to the Old Town. This historical jewel is simply beautiful, you will feel the cobble stones underneath your feet, admire statues along the bridge and you may buy a souvenir picture drawn by one of the present artists. On the way through the Old Town you will get the opportunity to visit the Old Town City Hall with the fabulous Astronomical Clock, striking every hour and take photos of the Czech famous reformer and nationalist Jan Hus. The last part of the city to be discovered that day is the New Town. Its most known part is the Wenceslas Square, where you experience the true buzz of the city life. The rest of the day is at leisure, you can relax at the hotel or once the pulsing of the metropolis becomes a little bit too tiring, why not to take refuge in a park or go for a walk through one of Prague’s gardens.
Day 3 Kutná hora/Terezín (B)
This day is devoted to a trip to Kutná hora (or Terezín – a memorial to commemorate the victims of the Nazi political and racial persecution during the occupation of the Czech lands in World War II.). The picturesque medieval town of Kutná Hora, part of the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage, is situated approximately 60 km east of Prague. The sources of the beauties and riches of Kutná Hora are in the silver mines that were exploited most intensively in the 14th and 15th century. The wealth and prosperity that flowed from the silver mines led to rich architectural development. During this excursion you will see interesting and most impressive sights as the unique Gothic Cathedral of St. Barbara, the patron of saint miners, the nearby Hrádek building or Wallachian Court, originally a Royal Mint, that once produced Prague groschen as well. In the afternoon return back to Prague.
Day 4 Cruise with dinner (B, D)
There are no fixed plans for the day, but we fully recommend to explore the city on your own. There is still much to see, let`s mention the Observation Tower on Petrin Hill, the National Theatre, Jewish Quarter, Kampa Island, Municipal House or Powder Gate.
